Family Style Barbecue

The setting was idyllic: a marquee in the garden of the groom's family home, in a town on the edge of the Cotswolds. Imagine huge trees, flower beds, and a gathering of friends & family from far & wide. The atmosphere was relaxed & happy as guests milled on the lawn before the ceremony drinking fizz and eating smoked salmon on seeded rye bread. 

Main course:

• Spice rubbed grilled rump of beef served on a bed of rocket (pictured sizzling away)
• Smoky lemon & harissa chicken skewers
• Butternut squash, chick pea & spinach tagine (V)
• Jewelled couscous with pomegranate seeds
• Broad bean, pea, cucumber, halloumi & mint salad
• Roasted beetroot, puy lentil, feta & mint salad

Dessert:

• Assorted baklava with honeyed Greek yogurt

In the evening:

• Mugs of potato & leek soup with crusty breads
