Who Are We?

Truly Scrumptious (Oxford) is owned and managed by Jamie Forbes & Michele McCartney. We are food geeks and have been for all of our adult lives. In fact, food (or more specifically: working in the food business) is what brought us together in the first place. For us, food is one of THE pleasures of life. We think eating should be a convivial, pleasurable, sensory experience, and we like nothing more than seeing people sitting around a table talking, sharing food, tasting & enjoying different dishes.

We enjoy experimenting and playing with food and spend much of our time doing just that. Our philosophy & style are along the lines of Jamie Oliver or Ottolenghi, resulting in food that is big on flavour & colour, low on fuss, and in which good quality ingredients speak for themselves. Our main geographic influences are the Mediterranean (both north & south) and East Asia, and much of our travel has been and continues to be guided by our stomachs.

Our beliefs on food aside, we offer up a strong client centred approach and well developed organisational and project management skills. When we take on your event we want you to be able to relax and enjoy yourself, leaving the planning, organisation and of course the cooking to us.
