Weddings & Civil Partnerships

It's not every day that you get married, and the food on the day should suit your own personal style as well as the mood you want to create. Casual or formal, traditional or something a little different, going all out or working to a budget – it's up to you.

Fizz to start smallWe specialise in "family style" wedding meals: enticing sharing platters and bowls set out on each table for you and your guests to help themselves to. We like this style of meal best because it creates a convivial atmosphere and gets people talking and sharing. Also known as a table banquet, it's less formal than a fully plated meal, and the menu options are almost endless: think antipasti, meze or tapas to start, followed by roasted or barbecued meats, sharing pies, tagines or other scrumptious hot dishes served with a selection of tasty & colourful accompaniments and rustic breads. For dessert, why be limited to one when you can have a selection to choose from?

Other options in terms of style of service are below, and these can also be combined to form different parts of the day:

  • Groom's tea – tea, light sparkly cordials and some nice sweet bites to start things off
  • Canapé reception – standing up, mingling and chatting, lots of delicious little morsels or tantalising bowls to tempt you, and a glass or two of something fizzy as well
  • Buffet – a table laden with tasty dishes allows guests to take what they please. This is a great option when the crowd has diverse food preferences. From a more traditional carvery or hot buffet to a barbecue to the whole hog, this style of meal will always please the crowd
  • Plated sit-down meal – when you want something a little more formal

We like to work with our clients to create menus that suit them. Here are some examples of recent wedding menus we've created for and with our clients. Our barbecue section also has wedding menu ideas.

If you're interested in a quote, or just talking through all the different options, contact us and we'll get back to you ASAP.
