
Family Style Barbecue
The setting was idyllic: a marquee in the garden of the groom's family home, in a town on the edge of the Cotswolds. Imagine huge trees, flower beds, and a gathering of friends & family from far & wide. The atmosphere was relaxed & happy as guests milled on the lawn before the ceremony drinking fizz and eating smoked salmon on seeded rye bread.
Main course:
- Spice rubbed grilled rump of beef served on a bed of rocket (pictured sizzling away)
- Smoky lemon & harissa chicken skewers
- Butternut squash, chick pea & spinach tagine (V)
- Jewelled couscous with pomegranate seeds
- Broad bean, pea, cucumber, halloumi & mint salad
- Roasted beetroot, puy lentil, feta & mint salad
Dessert:
- Assorted baklava with honeyed Greek yogurt
In the evening:
- Mugs of potato & leek soup with crusty breads
