Family Style Summer Picnic
The extensive grounds of a gothic style country manor house were the setting. Various outbuildings added rustic charm, as did the barn dotted with fairy lights, ready for the evening festivities.
A ceremony on the terrace was followed by a drinks reception. Crispy crostini topped with the following whetted the guests' appetites for the meal to come:
- Sicilian caponata with toasted almonds
- Roasted peppers with capers
- Mozzarella with basil & a sprinkle of chilli
The wedding breakfast was served in an open air tent (and yes, the weather cooperated fully!). Guests sat at picnic tables, which suited this summery menu perfectly.

Dessert buffet:
- A selection of multi-layered cakes served from a rustic trolley
