Family Style Moroccan
A rustic barn complex on top of a hill with panoramic views in all directions was the setting for this family oriented wedding reception. Fizz & cordials were served to guests in the sunny courtyard. Colourful macarons were passed around and very quickly devoured!
To start:
- Roasted pepper & white bean hummus with flatbread & lavash crisps
- Middle–Eastern savoury & sweet spiced nuts (pictured)
- Moroccan chicken skewers (pictured)
- Spinach & feta filo pies (pictured)
Main course:
- Tagine of chicken with preserved lemons & olives
- Tagine of butternut squash, chick peas & spinach in a smoky tomato sauce
- Jewelled couscous
- Saffron rice with dried apricots, sultanas & toasted almonds
- Mixed leaves with pomegranate seeds and a pomegranate & honey dressing
- Smoky Moroccan carrot salad
Dessert:
- Citrus & almond cake with Greek yogurt & honey
- Flourless chocolate cake with raspberry coulis
